Some people may tell me that the quickest way to make gold has to be buy it in the real world, and many players would rather empty their pockets to earn gold the most effortless way. However, you need to be clear that buying gold physically is against the terms of service of the game, and your account will be banned if you are found doing so.
More advanced players will tell you that you do not have to put your account at risk. There are plenty of ways within the game itself for you to make gold for free …
To achieve this goal, you will need to progress to Level Five first. There is no requirement to spend any gold to reach this stage, and you can in fact earn some silver in the process.
After you get to level five, you need to start learning some trade skill. You can start out with mining and skinning, and all you need to do is to collect every object from these skills, stack them up and sell out in the Auction House. It won’t be long before you find gold starts to appear in your account.
If you work hard, it won’t be long before you reach the more advanced level (usually the high 50’s). Now, it is time you can try farming the Thorium ore in the Burning Steppes. You will never run short of ore in that area, and can usually sell those for around 30 gold per stack in the Action House.
In case you do not feel like mining, you can always rely on skinning to produce some good amount of gold. Rugged leather can sell for about 15 gold per stack on some days, and the demand is always big and steady. Just go to Felwood and start hunting whatever you can.
