Gearing Up Your World Of Warcraft Warrior

By Mike Miller | February 10, 2010

If you are a player who enjoys tanking when playing WoW, a warrior is the right class for you. While you may find that paladins can do a lot more, warriors still surpass them when taking the brunt frontload damage. Warriors however do need to keep their gear updated on a consistent manner when yo

u do play them. This class is incredibly dependent on the gear they use, why don’t we look into this.

In the first place, consider taking the mining and blacksmithing professions. This is a very popular profession for warriors, and you will find not only can you keep yourself well geared, you can also make money through selling things on the auction house. At the level cap, you will be making some very good armor that is perfect for use in the end game, and you can make it for yourself and sell it.

As a warrior, you are going to be a plate wearer. This means that you have the toughest armor in the game, but remember that armor rating isn’t the only thing that you need to look for. The bonuses that the individual armor gives you to your traits are also going to be important, so consider which stats you should keep an eye out for.

The most important trait to build up for a Warrior is strength. Any item you can use to boost your strength rating is worth having. With more strength comes a higher attack power and before you know it you can turn your Warrior into a powerhouse.

If strength is not available look out for stamina gear. Stamina is the stat which provides even more health to you, and this can be a huge deal since you won’t be wearing plate until you are level 40. If tanking is going to be your focus you need to keep out an eye for defense gear.

Many warriors carry different sets of armor that will aid them in different tasks. You will have one set that allows you to dps better, which allows you to be a damage support in your group, but if you tank you will have another set.

Not only do you have get your gear, you should also consider taking care of it. As a warrior, you are going to be a melee class, and that means that your armor will be taking many hits. Consider repairing your armor early and often, and if you are in a large guild, asking for gold for repair bills is fairly common.

Whatever you want to do in the Warrior class, either tearing through the end game, getting to level 40 so you can wear that awesome plate armor, a good WoW leveling guide can help you out.
